BAB PARTNERS WITH HEALTH CORPS FOR HEALTH FAIR

Brooklyn, NY - Big Apple Basketball partnered with HealthCorps for their health fair at South Shore High School.

HealthCorps mission is to address the childhood obesity epidemic. Their goal at the fair was to provide a fun exercise and active experience for the South Shore High School students.  The theme was "Space Jam Into Health!" and Big Apple Basketball assisted with a basketball booth.

BAB training participant, Granville Gittens portrayed a "MonSTAR" (from the movie Space Jam) and interacted with the students throughout the day on the basketball court.  Any students who could score a basket on the MonSTAR received a prize from HealthCorps.  Gittens had his face painted and played 1-on-1 defense on the students for approximately four hours.
