chris manningPlattsburgh, NY - Congratulations to 2008 Big Apple Basketball Scholarship Games participant Chris Manning on his recent appointment as assistant men's basketball coach at Plattsburgh State.

Manning starred at Baldwin High School and played collegiately at Molloy College, LIU Post, and Plattsburgh State.

The Big Apple Basketball Scholarship Games showcased the Top 40 boys unsigned seniors in the New York metro area, based upon their academic achievement and basketball ability, to college coaches for scholarships.

"From the drills, to the game, I remember the level of competition at the BAB Scholarship Games was the highest at any tryout I had been a part of," said Manning.

He added, "The BAB coaching staff made sure we were all competing at a college level. The event also got me a lot of interest from college coaches and I was blessed enough to have received a scholarship offer after a coach saw me in the showcase."
