New York, NY - As high school juniors in 2007 Isaiah Thomas and Kemba Walker were both participants in the Big Apple Basketball Invitational. In 2017, both of them have been named NBA All-Stars. Congratulations to Thomas and Walker for their hard work and selections as all-star guards.
Ironically, neither of them were selected 1st Team BAB All-Tournament. Walker was named Honorable Mention after scoring 19 points in a win for Rice over Niagara Falls. Walker also did a good defensive job on Niagara Falls point guard, Jonny Flynn.
Thomas was named 2nd team after his school, South Kent lost in overtime to St. Benedict's Prep. He posted 29 points and five assists.
1st Team selections were Michael Beasley, Jeremy Tyler, Alexis Wangmene, Flynn, and Sylven Landesburg.
