SHOOTING CHALLENGE - RULES
PAYMENTS & SHOOTING RULES
$25 PER ENTRY (ADULT DIVISION)
$35 THE DAY OF THE EVENT
-1 entry is good for 1 opportunity per event (Free Throw Challenge or 3pt Challenge)
-participants can have unlimited entries per event!
-participants can enter into both events. Free Throw Challenge and 3pt Challenge.

-The 10-under age group will only have Free Throw Challenge.
ROUNDS (ADULT DIVISION)
Round 1, Free Throw Challenge (20 shots) & 3pt Challenge (15 shots from top of key)
TOP 10 HIGH SCORES IN EACH EVENT & DIVISION ADVANCE TO ROUND 2
Round 2, Free Throw Challenge (10 shots) & 3pt Challenge (10 shots from top of key)
TOP 5 SCORES IN EACH EVENT & DIVISION ADVANCE TO CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
- Championship Round, Free Throw Challenge (most consecutive free throws determines winner) & 3pt Challenge (10 shots from top of key)
-if a participant pays for multiple entries in an event, and they earn multiple high scores in the Top 10, all of their high scores will advance and it will give them a greater chance of advancing to the Championship Round. Ex) if you pay for 4 entries into the Free Throw Challenge and all four of your scores are in the Top 10, you will secure 4 of the 10 spots in the next round.

WARMUP SHOTS
Big Apple Basketball does not guarantee specific warmup time. All shooters in free throw contest will be allowed two warmup free throws. All shooters in the 3pt contest will be allowed (3) warmup three-pointers!
TIME LIMIT
TIME LIMIT FOUL SHOTS (20 SHOTS TOTAL) - time limit does not include warmup free throws. Time begins when participant receives ball for first regulation shot.
TIME LIMIT 3-POINTERS (15 SHOTS TOTAL) - time limit does not include warmup three-pointers. Time begins when participant receives ball for first regulation shot.
BALL RACKS
Ball racks will be used for 3pt contest. No passers are permitted.
BASKETBALLS
Adult Divison - all participants, Men & Women, must use the same regulation Men's basketball for the money prize
Youth Division - boys will be provided with regulation Men's basketball & girls will have the option to use a regualtion women's basketball
ADDITIONAL YOUTH RULES
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUTH SHOOTING CHALLENGE...REGARDLESS OF AGE.
ALL YOUTH PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO CERTIFY APPROPRIATE DIVISION.
