PRO SUMMER TEAM SET TO PLAY IN THE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

New York, NY - The Big Apple Basketball Pro Summer Team will participate in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) this summer.

This will mark BAB's third consecutive appearance in the event since it was established in 2014. This summer the prize will be $2 million to the winning team.

In 2014, BAB advanced to the Final Four, before falling in overtime with only five players. In 2015, BAB was upset in the round of 32 after defeating Basketball City in the opening round.

The tournament dates are July 16-17 (Philadelphia University), July 21-23 (Philadelphia University), July 30 and August 2 (Fordham University).

TBT is a 64-team single elimination tournament (similar to the NCAA tournament), featuring many pro level players, many of whom have played in the NBA, and currently play professionally overseas and in the D-League.

The complete 2016 scheduled will be released by TBT on July 1.
