PHIL CARR NAMED MEAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Baltimore, MD - Congratulations to Morgan State forward, Phil Carr on being named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

The 6-8 junior, out of Brooklyn, NY also finished the second week averaging 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks.

Carr is filling the stat sheet early in the season among all MEAC players. He leads the conference in free throw percentage, second in rebounding, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds and field goal percentage, and third in blocks.

This past summer Carr played with the Big Apple Basketball Pro Summer Team in the Nike Pro City Summer League.
