New York, NY - In the final game of the regular season in the Nike Pro City Summer League, Big Apple Basketball (5-2) used a strong performance over the Sean Bell All-Stars (5-2) to earn the #1 seed in the playoffs.
BAB defeated Sean Bell 107-88 and by virtue of the win, BAB earned the seeding tie-breaker with both teams having identical records. Recently signed, Dallas Maverick, Jarrid Famous had a dominating stat line in his first game of the summer for BAB. Famous totaled 31 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 27 minutes of action. It was a total team effort for BAB, as many players contributed to the victory.
Dustin Hogue (14 points, six rebounds), Chaz Williams (12 points, nine assists), Ronald Moore (11 points, six assists, four rebounds) and Tymell Murphy (11 points, six rebounds, three blocks) were also key contributors.
Big Apple Basketball will play Dyckman/NYAC in the semifinals on Tuesday, July 11, 8:30pm at Baruch College. All fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early, as seating capacity is expected to be reached by 7pm. The other semifinal game will begin at 6:30pm with Sean Bell All-Stars taking on Bingo's All-Stars.
