BAB FALLS SHORT IN PRO CITY CHAMPIONSHIP

New York, NY - The Big Apple Basketball Pro Summer Team lost to Bingo's All-Stars, 113-108 in the championship of the Nike Pro City Summer League.

BAB fell behind quickly and early, as Bingo jumped out as the aggressor in the first period, racing to a 29-10 lead. BAB had no answers for Bingo's tough defense and struggled to get good shots. Bingo was able to take advantage of many missed Big Apple Basketball shots and create scoring opportunities in transition off of those misses.

Big Apple Basketball was able to put together a strong second quarter with a 29-16 run and close the deficit to six, at the half. BAB was able to take a brief one point lead in the third quarter, before Bingo came back and led 73-69 at the end of the quarter.

BAB was doomed by early turnovers and easy baskets by Bingo to start the fourth, and Bingo's All-Stars raced to their first championship in the Nike Pro City Summer League.

Big Apple Basketball was led by Jarrid Famous (26 points, six rebounds), Chaz Williams (24 points, five assists), Dustin Hogue (16 points), Ronald Moore (11 points, five assists), Anthony Gurley (10 points) and Ashton Pankey (six rebounds).
